About

My Language Journey

I have lived in several countries and I know what it feels like to move to a new environment. Internationality describes me best: I speak Finnish, Russian, German and English, and I see language learning as a lifelong process.

I graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the University of Tampere in Finnland and spent an exchange year in Germany, the country where I spent my childhood.

Later, I completed my teacher training at JAMK University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä. Although I had already worked as a translator and interpreter, I wanted to become a teacher. I was inspired by online pedagogy and decided to specialize in it as well. I have completed JAMK’s online pedagogy training and I am a trained online pedagogue.

I have worked as a Finnish language teacher in integration training and in higher education. Currently, I teach Russian in an upper secondary school and Finnish in a vocational school.

My vision has been to build an online school that offers effective tools for independent language learning. I believe that thoughtfully designed courses can guide learners, support their progress, and make learning both structured and achievable.

It was a pleasure to share my story with you.
